N3N4 ARCHITECTURE
N3N4 Architecture is a full-service architecture & design atelier based in New York City and Long Island, dedicated to the creation of bespoke residences. From ground-up homes to thoughtful interior renovations, we craft spaces that are both timeless and intimately personal.
Our name, N3N4, draws from the Cantonese idiom “唔三唔四” — “neither three nor four.” Often used to describe something ambiguous or improper, we embrace it as a creative stance: finding meaning in the space between categories.
This is where we design — with nuance, care, and curiosity.
HUNG FAI TANG
RA (NYS), AIA & NCARB
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Fai developed an early passion for architecture & design, shaped by the city’s dense urban fabric & cultural complexity — fostering strong sensitivity to spatial flexibility and materiality that continue to inform his work at N3N4 Architecture.
After earning his Master of Architecture from MIT, Fai honed his practice at leading firms in New York and the Hamptons, including Lynch Eisinger Design, Bates Masi Architects, and Leroy Street Studio etc. There, he developed a specialty in residential designs and found fulfillment in working closely with clients to translate their lifestyles and aspirations into thoughtful domestic spaces.
These combined experiences ultimately led Fai to found N3N4 Architecture — a practice grounded in cultural awareness and human connection, where engaging design takes shape in the spaces between categories.
PRINCESS ARI, CGC
Rescued and adopted from South Korea, Ari has been with our atelier since day one. As our loyal team member, she takes her role as studio guardian and critic seriously. With her blessing on material selections, everything must be pet-friendly and durable.
